| 11.2.05 - Over 1,100 tickets for the R2R Capital Area Concert For Katrina Relief held on Saturday Oct.15th were sold. The $14,181.61 generated by the concert derived from 100% of ticket sales, raffle tickets, donations & Bayou food sales, as well as a portion of performer merchandise sales, Palace theater concessions & underwriting. 75% of those funds will go to providing long-term housing solutions for families displaced by Katrina. The remaining 25% of funds raised will help those living in need locally through Capital District Habitat for Humanity. "Partnerships with government, businesses, communities and individuals yield new partnerships, especially when people come together to achieve and succeed in transforming entire communities, as you see here in North Albany, but also in the Habitat efforts to rebuild in the gulf coast. To all our partners, but especially today to Rock2Rebuild, on behalf of Capital District Habitat For Humanity, I want to say thank you," stated Steve Haggerty.
